What to look at before you choose

Two audiences rate the same app

A student rates the teaching and a parent rates the sales call, the fee and the refund. Both end up in one average, which is why apps in this category often carry a strong five star block and a heavy one star tail at the same time.

Free content and paid courses are not the same product

Most of these apps are free to install and are rated largely by people who never paid. The paid experience, where the complaints concentrate, is a minority of the ratings behind the headline figure.

A three step check

  1. Check the volume

    A 4.8 from 30 ratings is a weaker signal than a 4.3 from 900.

  2. Check the date

A business changes hands, a manager leaves, and the rating takes a year to catch up. Look at what people wrote this quarter.

  3. Check whether anyone replied

A company that answers its worst reviews is telling you what happens when something goes wrong for you.

Questions

Do these ratings say anything about exam results?

No. No company here publishes verifiable outcome data, and a store rating is not evidence of one. Treat it as a record of the service, not of the teaching.

How often is this ranking updated?

Whenever a source's rating average is refreshed. Each entry carries its own as of date.

Can a company pay to rank higher here?

No. Placement is the GoCredible Score and nothing else. If that ever changes, the paid entries are labelled inline.
